Lowfell facilities, arrival, coming and going

The Garden at Lowfell
We have an acre of secluded sunny garden and guests are most welcome to sit, lie or snooze in it, in the morning and late afternoon!

Guest sitting room
Cosy fire, squashy sofas and a lamp or three... Snuggle up with a cuppa and the paper in the afternoon or a glass of wine and a good book in the evening.

Parking
We have a "two way" drive in, drive out drive. Parking for six cars is off road, and private, although cars are left at owners own risk.

Other things...

Alcohol
We don't have a licence to sell alcohol but we do have lots of fridge space so please feel free to bring your own wine, beer, etc

Smoking
Lowfell is a completely smoke-free environment. Please, do not smoke in the house, on the terrace or the doorstep. Thanks.

Pets
We have the most gorgeous very people friendly, non hair shedding, non yappy little dog of our own and so, sorry, we can't accommodate guest pets.

Children
We love children and have two daughters of our own (aged 27 and 21!) Over the age of 10, children are most welcome. Occasionally we accept slightly younger children (please ask) but for the sake of other guests we do expect them to be house trained, reasonably quiet, and happy to sit at the table for the duration of breakfast.

Arrival, coming and going
Please arrive either before 11am or after 4.30pm. As we are only a B&B, we don't have staff to man the house, and so we do ask, with the greatest of respect, that we have a few hours to ourselves during the day - not only to spruce up the house for your return, but to tend the garden, walk the dog, do the shopping etc... or simply to relax and read the paper.

Please vacate your room by 11am and plan your return for sometime after 4.30am

Thanks.

(If you would like to take refuge during the day, have a delicious lunch or afternoon tea, our staff at Lindeth Howe will make you most welcome.)
