We
can accommodate a total of 6 people in 3 bedrooms, although two
of the bedrooms are adjoining and make a perfect hideaway on the
second floor of the house.
All
have en suite bathroom facilities, colour TV, DVD player, wireless
broadband internet access, alarm clock, hairdryer, hot water bottles,
towelling dressing gowns, and complimentary tea and coffee making
facilities.
Our
6ft beds are new, of excellent quality, and are wonderfully comfortable.
All have fat feather pillows, white Egyptian cotton percale sheets,
either a duvet or blankets, and both a cotton waffle bedspread and
quilted throw. We give you lots of layers so that you can be as
warm, or as cool as you wish. Do ask if you prefer synthetic pillows.

On
the first floor of the house is a pretty double room, with half
tester over the bed, a couple of chairs in which to relax, and an
en suite shower room (decent shower with a glass door). The windows
in this room look out south and west over the garden, towards the
lake and distant fells.

On
the second floor of the house where the servants used to live, is
a four roomed hideaway. There's a cosy cottagey feeling about this
part of the house = sloping ceilings, views over the treetops, and
neither sight nor sound of anyone!
These rooms have their own small (quite steep) staircase with a
door at the bottom, and are sunny, peaceful and very private - great
for either a romantic break, or for sharing with family or friends.
We often find that two friends travelling together love this part
of the house because they can have a bedroom each without a single
supplement.
The second bedroom (2 single beds) is accessed through the first
(6ft bed) and share the super new en suite bathroom with power shower.
There is also a small kitchen (with fridge for snacks or wine) and
sitting area - but apologies, no cooking facilities, and please
no take aways!
Children can have their own room here, and we're happy to accommodate
just two people at no extra charge.
In
the past some of our prospective guests thought they may have to
share with strangers - don't worry! - we wouldn't dream of doing
that to you!
