We very much hope that we might have the pleasure of welcoming you to
Lowfell for Lake Windermere accommodation – a lovely old Lakeland stone
house in the heart of the English Lake District, offering luxury bed
and breakfast facilities.
All our guest rooms are en suite with views either over the garden towards
the lake and fells, or over the treetops.
Bedrooms have huge comfy 6ft beds with beautiful bed linen, and flat
screen television with dvd and radio/cd players.
( There’s even a gorgeous 2 bedroomed hideaway at the top of the house
– ideal for a romantic break or honeymoon, but also perfect for families
or friends travelling together.)
Delicious aga breakfasts are served round a big oak table in our family
dining room overlooking the garden, from 8.45 to 9.30.
The daily menu includes goodies such as warm home made bread, aga pancakes
with lashings of maple syrup, grilled halloumi cheese, and of course
a traditional English breakfast.
Quiet, peaceful, and set in acre of totally secluded and sunny garden
– Lowfell is ideally located just a five minute stroll from the shores
of Lake Windermere, and the boats and car ferry that ply the lake .
Pretty Bowness on Windermere (the only village in the lake district
actually on a lakeshore) is also a 5 minute walk, and bustles with things
to do, super shops and a really good selection of very nice restaurants
and pubs to suit all tastes. How nice to be able to leave the car behind
and not worry about the drive home!
There’s even a splendid small theatre encompassing a charming Beatrix
Potter centre, and a rather cute old fashioned 3 screen cinema - all
within walking distance.
Things to do – too many to mention!
Fantastic walking and hiking of course, through some of the most stunning
countryside and scenery in the world – including Britain’s favourite
view at Wastwater as featured on BBC television.
Learn to sail, have a go at mountain biking or hot air ballooning -
make cultural visits to glorious stately homes and castles, splendid
art galleries and museums.
Why not give us a call? You will see why we are a popular choice for
many of those looking for Lake Windermere Accommodation and bed and
breakfast in the Lake District.
